Well well, Just a quick update. Could only committed late Friday night to join the Blue Spero,s competition @ OPBC. The old legend Fuzzy, also my son's teacher and mentor stepped down from his position and Derick took over this position. Derick was very helpful and within a couple of calls got crew and all sorted. Awesome day on the water, well organized event and we will be back. Hugenote competition unfortunately the same day as a school rugby tournament and that is very sad. Thanks again to all friends and especially guys on this forum for your support since day one.

New to spearfishing is driving me mad  , missed out on the tail @ Dassen as school sports also part to blame. Looking forward in taking him again. But as he grows in the sport i decided not to dive Falsebay open water any more. Plenty of old school spero's advised me to stay away.

Just some feedback for a change. as my son started this sport he's just driving me crazy, making me drive all a round from shore dives to Skipskop boat dives and even local farm dams for practice. The biggest appreciation to all the spearo's out there that supported him from day one from sponsoring equipment and many more. For those thinking of taking up the sport there's a big support from all the older guys out there, JUST DO IT! My bigger concern at this stage is the fish currently on this young lads bucket list, with certainty will brake my bank balance.

I would like to know if there is anyone in the Stilbaai area willing to take JM with them for spearfishing on Sunday. 13/05/2018. Unfortunately I am only there Saturday night and Sunday. Even a shore dive for snickers will help with his hunger to this sport. Willing to share all costs.
