Fishing isnt everything in life, its much more serious than that

I want to ask a very Stupid Question

These certifications for Commercial Crew Fisherman , what is the curriculum as I really did not know something like this even existed

I have these visions of attending a class of Katrol draai 1 en Gaff haak 3 with memories of her eksamens and siekte briewe.

The STCW 95 is a Five Day course (offered at CPUT Granger Bay).
It covers subjects like Abandonment of vessels at sea, Life raft deployment and survival, fire fighting and a basic First Aid Course.
It is valid for 3 years and thereafter it is a 3 day refresher course every 3 years.

If there was a Mechanism Where you could Sell more Tuna Directly to the Public , you would reduce the fish via retail / wholesale and that would have a positive effect on pricing for all .

Hercules.

(not to get off the main topic)

Most of the offshore guys do these courses. It is MANDATORY - becuase this is where life saving techniques and skills are learnt etc.
It is a must for these offshore workes to be 100% PROFICIENT as it could be hours or days before help could arrive. Hopefully this is not the case to wait for days , however one has to be prepared especially out at sea. From setting off flares, figh fighting ,First aid and more extreme sea survival situations.

(sorry for going off the topic) :D :D :D

Question; if the crew member had a vaild cat c skippers, which should cover the crew training basics, would they still need a "commercial crew ticket"
