So I got to tick off a tick from my bucket list.

Went out on Fishtails with Justin from Millers to Canyon - there is simply no way for me to explain the day..... the best ever day of fishing in my life. Perfect weather and sea conditions.

We hooked 16, lost 6 - I had the opportunity to fight 5 and landed 3. My first ever tuna pulled the hook right under the boat can just think what total despair I was in when it came off......but it wasn't too long when I got my second go at it. That tuna felt like a bus for a newbe like me these things fight and dont give an inch easily - you work for every turn of the reel. Lots of prayers that it doesn't come off and elation when it was pulled on the boat.

lost my second when three of us where on and the one tuna ran across two lines cutting us off with only one remaining on.

Loved learning the tuna shuffle and I really have a lot of respect for the guys that regularly target these fish to take a beating like that everyday.

To Deon from Seaport for refering me to Justin....huge thanks. I cant wait to do this again !!

Huge shoals of Yellowfins out there. From 12 miles to south of the canyon
