The yellowfin fishing has been dismal so far.......

Normally, by the end of September, we have the first few fish that gets caught and by early October, IF the wind allows us to get out, we are usually rewarded with plenty of BIG yellowfins.

Unfortunately, this season seems to be a few weeks late. Looking at the SST charts, the warm 20 degree water is still a good distance away from the canyon. The boats that have ventured out during the last few weeks have reported dismal results......

The weather looks fishable for this next few days and numerous commercial boats have left to go look see. A few recreational boats and charter boats will also go look.

Let's hope they have GREAT fishing and our season can finally start!!

Loads and loads of Longfin and a few Yellows.
Fishing is much more than fish. It is so that we may return to the simplicity of our forefathers.
