Which is the best Fish Finder

Post by Namhunter » Wed Aug 19, 2015 12:43 pm

I have bought myself a Lowrance Chirp 7 50/200, however can't see a 20m high wreck at 100m depths. I have returned the unit and got a new one - same story though. I have tried all settings and sensitivities etc. to no avail.
Does someone have similar problems with this unit?

What other fishfinder/Chartplotter would you suggest I buy (budget R10k - R18k).
I normally troll and do wreck fishing in saltwater of c. 80m-250m depths and would like a unit that gives me good bottom structure and fish readings etc. at 100m while trolling at 8 knts.

Any advise appreciated
