Has any one had experience with these new units?
Believe they have a function called Quickdraw Contours to basically map an area? is it any good?
I am looking at the Striker plus 9sv will be fitted to a boat purely for breede.
Are these units available in SA yet?

All I can say is ask Donovan Cole what he thinks of the quickdraw maps he has made from the Breede River and on some of the False Bay reefs....

I speak to him. what is nice is i believe you can share your quick draw maps. so if some one has done breede you can share it becomes very useful

In my opinion the quickdraw is probably the best tool on any of the newer Garmin units and if you spend some time mapping areas out you will be really surprised how it can help your fishing. I have used it extensively fishing in the breede and reef fishing around False bay! The only gripe that i do have with it is that they should integrate the built in Tidal charts in the unit with the quickdraw to compensate for tidal changes, this is not that important when mapping out in deeper water but when you mapping areas in water of 10m or less it can mess your soundings up if done over multiple days. I work around it by keeping a eye on the tidal changes hour to hour then changing the tidal difference in the settings.
