Craig at Silver Lake Marine in St Francis Bay once told me that they worked out how to do that, so I assume it can be done.

As far as I know it's just a micro switch that cuts out 2 of the cylinders.
Remove that switch and you have all 4 cylinders firing.

Het een ( Mariner 115) gehad. Daai oorskakeling was BAIE verstront. Weet nie wat hulle probeer bereik het nie.

I would imagine that the idea was to reduce fuel consumption when idling and trolling.

Do you still need an answer on how to modify the 2+2 system to run on 4 cylinders on Idling?

Anyone else that needs an answer on this, as why they designed the 2+2 system in the first place?.

My 125 HP 2007 Mariner 2+2 ran brilliantly. Sure, slamming the throttle did give hesitation, but slight adjustment to how fast you ram the throttle forward and it was perfect.

I was told that two of the carb's have blanked idle jets, and can be modified to run on all 4 cyls at all times. I never found the need to do this, as skiing was no issue, the motor was a beast.
